PR: Good reviews for a good daughter Kylie Padilla @kakaii1993

Bad Boy Robin Padilla’s daughter Kylie must be feeling assured that she is not going to be labeled as a bad daughter ever, especially that her just-concluded TV series “The Good Daughter” had made a good run, earning positive reviews left and right throughout its run from February to early June, a stretch of 78 episodes in total.

She played good girl-treated-bad Bea Gueverra in the Michael Tuviera-directed afternoon soap where she starred opposite Rocco Nacino. A strong support cast made up of Raymond Bagatsing, Alicia Mayer, LJ Reyes, and Max Collins helped her likable portrayal of a home princess bullied by her wicked stepmother appear even more effective.

In a chat with TV reporter Lhar Santiago, she revealed that her inspired work is made possible by the fact that she could somehow relate to her character. She explained, “May mga linya si Bea na nasabi ko na sa totoong buhay at may mga eksena ako na nangyari na din sa buhay ko. Parang bumabalik ako sa moments na ‘yun in my past na reflective of the ones we shot.”

A talent of GMA Artist Center, Kylie was named “Best New Female Personality” at the PMPC Star Awards for Television in 2008 especially after her admirable portrayal of the character Erenea in “Joaquin Bordado” which actually featured her dad.

Last year she made heads turn with her effective internalization of the dual role of Jessa Gonzales and Jessica Santiago in the TV version of Elena Patron’s “Blusang Itim.” She also acted as Chloe Agustin in “Dwarfina.”
